I was deeply disappointed by the Government’s announcement that May’s local elections in Surrey would be cancelled as the county will be in the first wave of local government reorganisation.
I was pleased to get my feet back under the desk in Westminster on 6th January, when Parliament returned from the winter recess. While our hard work did not stop over the festive period, it was wonderful to enjoy some quality time with friends and family.
You may have heard about recent developments in Parliament concerning the Climate and Nature Bill. Unfortunately, the Labour Government signalled they were not prepared to let the Bill pass under any circumstances.
